JAMY IAN SWISS :: HOW MENTALISTS WORK

Magician, skeptic and previous guest of The Magic Newswire, Jamy Ian Swiss is profiled in an article from the Pittsburgh Tribune which reports on the workshop ""Science, Magic and Skepticism: A Natural Relationship" an his new show "Heavy Mental." When asked about such phenomenon as telepathy, precognition, clairvoyance and psychokinesis, Swiss responded, "I don't believe that any of them exist, but I intend to demonstrate them all." Both the workshop and his show were hosted by the Carnegie Science Center and the Center for Inquiry of Pittsburgh.

MAGIC CASTLE DOCUMENTARY :: EXTRAS NEEDED

As announced on the Genii Forums by Dustin Stinett, "A documentary on the Magic Castle (a student film by Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, Ca.) is underway. Shooting is taking place during the day instead of disrupting regular evening operations. As a result, the film crew needs an audience for two different performance days. One will be held on Thursday November 6 in the Close-up Gallery and the other will be held in the Parlour of Prestidigitation on Thursday November 13 (there will be two different performances on that day).  This project has the approval and support of the Magic Castle (shooting has already begun).  Adults only - these are supposed to be "typical evenings" at the Magic Castle!  The Castle dress code applies!
