From Central News Asia we learn that JC Sum & 'Magic Babe' Ning have broken an unofficial land speed record by performing 15 illusions in under 5 minutes. They set the goal to break an unofficial record held by Hans Klok who performed this stunt in 10 minutes. According to the piece, “ 'The Impossible Record' was the closing highlight of the Singapore River Festival. It’s really a dream come true and I’m so glad so many Singaporeans actually came down to support us to show that we are more than just a little red dot. And it means so much to be a part of history, to put Singapore on the world map,” said Ning, South East Asia's first professional female magician. “We didn’t think we could do it this afternoon,” admitted Sum. “[But] we knew we would hit at least 12.” The stunt has been certified by the Singapore Book of Records and has been submitted to Guinness for consideration as well. Man I can only imagine the level of presentation and storytelling that must have been included in their show!
