On August 18th, I learned that our friend Joshua Jay had been involved in a serious boating accident while vacationing with his family in Ohio. The result was that he suffered a compound fracture of both bones in his left arm and shattered the bones in his wrist. He has had one surgery to stabilize the area and is undergoing a second today to try and repair the damage to his wrist. As a magician, you can imagine how concerned Josh is as to the outcome. At 9:30 PM last night, Josh called me to ask that I get the word out to let everyone know what was happening. He's very appreciative of the outpouring of support that he has received from the magic community via email,  from The Genii Forums, The Magic Cafe and on his Facebook page. Obviously, given the nature of the injury, there is no way that he can sit at a keyboard and respond to each message personally. I'll be posting a follow-up interview with Josh shortly, but please have him in your thoughts as he enters surgery today.
