According to Louise Rosen Ltd., a documentary on magician Ricky Jay is in post production and scheduled for release this year. Bearing the title "Deceptive Practice: Ricky Jay's Personal History of Magic" the film is described in a press release from the site:

How does a magician become a magician? That question lies at the center of Deceptive Practice, a mesmerizing portrait of one of the art's greatest living performers. The multitalented Ricky Jay is a bestselling author and historian, an acclaimed actor, a leading collector of antiquarian books and artifacts, but above all he is a sleight-of-hand artist capable of creating a profound sense of wonder and disbelief in even the most jaded of audiences. Through interviews, archival materials, and a wide range of performances, Deceptive Practice celebrates the survival of an ancient tradition through the life and times of its modern master.
