THE TOUGHEST TOLL

The UK Daily Mail reports on David's latest endurance feat with medical experts commenting on the toll that this stunt will take on his body. "After more than 48 hours of hanging from just a wire in New York's Central Park he said: 'It's become tougher than anything I've ever had to go through. I don't know how I'm going to get through this all the way to the 60 hour mark.' "

BLAINE NOMINATED FOR HOUDINI AWARD

According to the UPI "The Board of Directors of The Houdini Museum in Scranton, Pa., says it has nominated magician David Blaine for its first Houdini Award. "When David Blaine is buried alive for seven days, frozen in a block of ice or hung upside down for 60 hours, he credits Harry Houdini's legendary escapes as his inspiration. In April, Blaine broke a world record by holding his breath underwater for 17 minutes and 4.4 seconds, another Houdini-inspired stunt," the museum noted in a news release.

TAKE THE DAVID BLAINE CHALLENGE!

Magician David Blaine’s expert stunt team has arranged for fans and media to take the David Blaine Challenge by safely hanging upside down for a minute or two, Tuesday, 3 - 11 p.m., Central Park’s Wollman Rink. Enter Central Park at Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue) at Central Park South.  Blaine is hanging upside down for more than 60 hours, dropping in on fans who come to visit and doing media interviews. He ends his challenge with a heart-stopping plunge at 10:45 p.m. September 24.

David Blaine joined us by phone on Day Two of his Dive of Death challenge for a quick chat to discuss his mentah and physical state. An obviously exhausted Blaine expressed his appreciation for the fans that been on site to show their support. Blaine's "Dive of Death" culminates on Wednesday Night at 9PM in a special that promises more magic than has been seen in recent shows. He also promises something amazing as the culmination of the endurance feat in Central Park.

THE CLOCK IS TICKING FOR BLAINE

Day One of Blaine's Dive of Death has begun and we are very fortunate to have Justin Style on scene providing video and pictures daily. Here's one of the better ones from today which shows David doing some of the exercises needed to keep blood flowing in his legs.
