THE RETURN OF JONATHAN CREEK

It's been five years since the illusionist-detective Jonathan Creek vanished from British television, but the Times Online reveals his return on January 1st, 2009 in an interview with creator David Renwick.  "Of course, Creek wouldn't be Creek without the tousle-haired main character. But can he weave his anti-magic on viewers again? Renwick has few illusions about reviving popular TV characters: “People say, Oh Jonathan Creek's coming back. Fantastic.' And then they watch it and go: ‘God, what a mistake.' Which is what happened with One Foot in the Grave. So I tend to expect the worst.”
