JAY MARSHALL AUCTION PREVIEW

 A PDF version of the complete catalog for the upcoming Jay Marshall auction of rare magicana from the legendary collection of entertainer Jay Marshall is now online at Potter Auctions. Download the PDF CATALOG HERE. The auction will take place in Louisville, Kentucky, on Sunday, July 27, 2008 at 9:00 AM – the morning following the conclusion of the IBM/SAM 2008 Combined Convention. The auction will be held at the Galt House Hotel. Included in the sale will be:
  • Rare Houdiniana, including books, photos, letters and ephemera 
  • Lithographs and broadsides of many of magic's "greats", including Professor Anderson, Dante, T. Nelson Downs, Germain, Thurston, Herrmann, Servais LeRoy, and more.
  • A choice selection of antiquarian books by Dean, Maskelyne, Hooper, and others.
  • Scarce vintage apparatus from both American and European manufacturers including P&L, Cardini and Brema. 
  • Choice ephemera, scrapbooks and substantial archives of printed matter relating to Cardini, Paul Rosini, The Zancigs, Dunninger, Harlan Tarbell, Howard Thurston, Blackstone Sr. and many, many more.
