KEITH BARRY :: PSYCHIC HEALER?
According to the Irish Herald, a "man who lost his brother in the 9/11 attacks and developed a fear of flying has been cured with the assistance of illusionist Keith Barry." Is this a new career path for the Irish born magician and mentalist? In cooperation with a local radio station, Barry has also signed on to help 13 others face their terror of taking to the skies. Keith says, "What I'm doing is not exactly a cure in the way you might cure someone of an illness. It's actually an empowerment technique to help them reduce their fears. I'm not pretending to be a clinical hypnotherapist. I'm an entertainer. Really it's to demonstrate that you can take a group of people who are frightened of flying and show them the power of hypnosis, the power of suggestion."
