DAVID TENNANT TO PLAY MAGICIAN IN FILM
Actor David Tennant, best known for portraying Dr. Who in the hit UK television series has been cast to revive the role of Las Vegas magician "Peter Vincent" in the Dreamworks film remake of the 1985 cult hit Fright Night. This is Tennant's first major film role. He will be joined in the movie by Colin Farrell and Star Trek's new Chekov, Anton Yelchin. In the original movie, Peter Vincent (played by Roddy McDowall) as the host of a late-night horror show. In the remake, he’s a Las Vegas magician whose show revolves around horror-movie imagery. Vincent claims to be a vampire expert, but when a teen turns to him for assistance after suspecting that his neighbor is a vampire, he’s less than helpful.
